It was a nice Saturday afternoon, and we heard of an Alfajor Festival happening nearby and so we went!
Alfajor is an iconic dessert in Argentina, and I would like to apologise for not having a photo because we devoured them already, but here’s a photo from Google!
It’s usually a chocolate-covered cookies filled with dulce de leche (most of the time).
The Alfajor festival is a way to celebrate the treat and local businesses in the area, and here are some photos I took.
This is our first alfajor of the day. We got intrigued by its shape, and they were sold out a few minutes before we decided to buy more triangular ones.Apart from the stalls, the local chess club also held a chess competition amongst kids and passer-bys!Mi billetera, mi traductor, mi vida.We bought 2 bottles of coffee liquor, a bottle of ginebra, and a jar of pickles. We bought more alfajores in Amas. They my favourite flavour thus far: Brownie! This is me, smiling through the freezing weather. There was music to entertain the guests before the grand raffle. We didn’t win any.
