Week 6 – Time Affluence!

Week 6: 6 February – 13 February

Last week’s rewirement activity is a surprise one: Time Affluence. Last week, the course gave me extra time. Instead of doing a specific rewirement activity, I can use the time I have to do things that “spark joy.” Girl, I did have a great week!

6 February – Monday

I had a call with a good friend of mine from Lat Am. It’s our first time having a call this month! It was so great to catch up with them. Whenever I listen to them, I’m reminded of how much I needed to polish my Spanish.

7 February – Tuesday

I went to my alma mater to request the only document missing from achieving a goal of mine since 23! I also got to catch up with my former colleagues, and I saw one of my favourite professors from college.

8 February – Wednesday

I met up with a friend of mine and handed her some of my journaling items because she needed them for her scrapbook. Afterwards, I went on my regular 5 km walk around the city. It started raining so I spent at least an hour inside a convenience store, ate my dinner and wrote a journal entry until the rain stops.

9 February – Thursday

I brought PDFs of emotional workbooks from ETSY. This year, I’m taking healing more seriously. I’ve been noticing a lot of patterns in my life, behaviour, and thinking that I wouldn’t wish to repeat. To achieve the inner peace and stability that I so long for, I need to work on the problems I’ve had since childhood.

10 February – Friday

We went to the vet for Nunu’s follow-up. After which, my dad and I went to a Chinese restaurant. The one with revolving table tops which I love! I ordered noodles and siopao and I was so full until the evening. That night, I just went on with my 2D1N binge till 2 and then passed out to sleep.

11 February – Saturday

We had a cool OET session today. Cool being we only had a few candidates and we managed to go home early. Ton and I, as usual, ate samgyupsal at this place where they serve unlimited meat and wings (typing this gives me headache). In the evening, we walked around the plaza, and then in the evening, we had coffee in this new coffee shop by our high school.

12 February – Sunday

I went to a Mamamoo concert with my friends. It’s my first time going to a concert and it was worth it!!! Mamamoo is one of the few Korean groups that I adore (after 2NE1’s disbandment.) The ladies are so powerful and enchantingly addictive. I love how so much talent is in the group, and it was a bliss to watch them live! They are as good as I’ve seen on YouTube (but sans the subtitles but thank you sa interpreter)!

13 February – Monday

The concert ended at around 11 PM. We ate samgyupsal after. Yes, I ate unlimited Korean barbecue 2 days in a row.

The bus terminal is already closed by then so I stayed over at my friend’s house in Mandaluyong. After a year, it was my first time seeing her own place. I felt so happy for her. I ate breakfast while she caught me up on some of the chikas I missed because I’d been away from the city and my friends for so long.

I went home super tired from thinking about how much more expensive the transportation fee is now as opposed to 2 years ago when I used to travel to and from Makati for work.

Thoughts:

This week has got to be the most productive and eventful week this 2023. It’s tiring. I’ve embraced the peaceful feeling of being at home or maybe walking around our streets and being in back-to-back social events tire the heck out of me. I felt super old! I can’t wait to go back to more social events (but sparingly).

See you next week!
